It's not about how cool things look. It's not about how many books we can write, shirts we can sell, logos we can design. It's about sharing our love for Christ and what He's done for us. What did He do for us?
Christ died for us - you and me - to save us from our sin. (For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16) We all sin (For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... Romans 3:23) and sin must be punished (For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23). But Christ took our punishment on the cross so that we could have eternal life by believing in Him (But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8). And that's really all it takes - trusting in Him and what He did, and accepting the free gift of eternal life through grace (For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9). And then living your life daily as a thank you to Christ for His gift. That's it. If you haven't already given your life to Christ, what are you waiting for? It's more than you could ever imagine. (...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10) At Disciple, we have been abundantly blessed, and it is our hope that our work is a reflection of Christ to those seeking Him and an encouragement to those who are already His. God Bless.
